CANTABRIAN COAST
We all remember Joan Manuel Serrat’s song proudly singing about being born in the Mediterranean. If I had been a singer, I would certainly have composed a song about the Cantabrian Sea, as I feel fortunate to have been born in this place. The Cantabrian Sea is a body of water that leaves no one indifferent; it has charm in winter with strong storms and waves several meters high and periods of calm in summer, forming spectacular beaches and coves. But the great characteristic of this cliff-lined coast, at least for me, is the proximity of the Cantabrian Range and above all the Picos de Europa; clearly visible from many coastal spots.
